Senior’s Captain Tom Mooney hosted the Annual Seniors Captain’s dinner last Friday 21st November in the clubhouse.
There was a great turnout of members and Captain Tom was joined by his wife Ber and many family members.
On the night Captain Tom made a presentation of the Senior Golfer of the Year Trophy to Marty Connolly and presented the new Captain’s Prize Trophy to the winner Mick Dooley. The great turnout of members was a testament to the contribution Captain Tom makes to the club.Tom is a key member of the Tuesday volunteer group,which helps to keep our course in pristine condition. Tom also organised the Club’s 50th Anniversary Memorial bench that was donated to the club by the Senior Members, and which honours all past members of our club.
Following a delicious meal prepared by Lukasz, the head chef in our Foxglade Restaurant, ably assisted by our bar manager Jason and his staff, members adjourned to the bar for a sing song, where the musical talents of our members and guests made it a most enjoyable night.
