WINTER League has now concluded .The SPRING MATCHPLAY LEAGUE will commence over 11 holes. Lamb 11 hole competition continues and 18 hole competition commencing this week.
Lady Captain Noreen Curry chaired a very productive committee meeting on Tuesday 11th.
The Nurses and Midwives annual golf outing is on 9th May in Castlecomer and booking online will open on 18 th March.
Early booking is advised .

Next Sundays drive in is highly anticipated by all our golfers .Sending best wishes to Captains Michael Buggy Noreen Curry and John Joe Buggy for the day .President Delia will join with the captains on the day in marking the start of the golfing year.We hope the sun will shine on the day.

Our club will host nurses from all the country on 9th May.Captain of the Nurses Alliance Jo Costigan is currently setting up a committee to oversee this major event .More on this to follow.

The Ladies Committee 2nd meeting was held on 11th Feb. A busy agenda was chaired by LC Noreen Curry and was very productive. It will be a busy year of activities in the club. As we celebrate 50 years in Drumgoole the ladies are certain to play their part in this important year for our club.

The winter league 2nd round is now complete and teams are close in the top 3. It’s all to play for in the next round. All team members are encouraged to play as often as possible and as the weather allows. It’s 10 holes now for February.

19th Jan 2025. The first meeting of the new ladies committee2025 was held Mon the 13th in the clubhouse with lady Captain Noreen Curry in the chair. LC Noreen in her opening address thanked her committee for their commitment to the ladies club for the year ahead. She welcome all returning and new members and pledged to make every effort in her year ahead as Lady Captain to ensure it is a great one on and off the course. The long agenda was steered smoothly by LC Noreen in a very timely fashion.

7th Jan. 2025. Nollaig na Mban Lunch
LC Noreen Curry hosted a very enjoyable lunch on Saturday 4th Jan.31 ladies joined her for festive camaraderie and fun in the foxglade clubhouse restaurant. LC Noreen organised and ran a raffle proceeds of which will go to the club.Winner of first prize was Helen H Murphy and congrats to her and all the ladies who won prizes. It was a most enjoyable and sociable event.

22nd Dec.

Christmas Disco
A great fun filled event took place on Saturday in the club.Organised by incoming captain Michael Buggy and his team and several ladies in festive dress were there to chaperone a well run event.
76 children enjoyed lively dancing to the disco sounds of Maurice Shortall(jr) who gave his services for free.

The ladies will have lunch on Jan 4th to celebrate Nollaig Na Mban. Lady Captain Noreen is busy  co-ordinating the menu with chef Lucasz. Happy Christmas .

15th Dec. The joint AGM took place in the clubhouse on Thursday13th.It was a well attended meeting and Chairperson Sean Scanlon gave his last address to the members as he retires after 3 years of outstanding service. We wish him Well and thank him for his hard work and dedication. Our best wishes to Liam Mooney as he takes up the role as Chairperson of the BOM. Thanks to our outgoing President Austin Kelly for his dedicated service to our club.

Welcome to Delia O Donoghue on her nomination as our next president. Delia is a past captain and coordinated Open Week and many other fundraising events in the club. We wish her well in her new role.
Emer Foley and Siobhan Mc Evoy will represent the ladies on the new BOM. Good luck and our thanks for their commitment to our club.
