Castlecomer boys under 18 team had a great win over Enniscorthy in the regional quarter final on Sunday. Favoured by a home draw the team had three of the five singles match play games at home.The home players playing some good golf in most matches took full advantage of the draw and went on to win all three games in Castlecomer. With Billy Rowe and John Joe Buggy winning their games in convincing fashion early on Adam Phelan won his game on the 17th hole to clinch the match overall for the team.This result has now qualified the team for the regional semifinal where they will play near neighbour’s Kilkenny golf club. The away players were Conor Moore and Eoin Healy who were called in as Castlecomer had won the necessary three games at home.Congrats to our team manager Del Todd and his team members and all in the club wish them well in their upcoming semifinal match
