There was a huge turnout of present and past senior members in the clubhouse on Wednesday 10th June, to celebrate a fantastic milestone in the life of Johnny Hardy on the occasion of his 90th Birthday. Johnny was a founder member of our Senior’s club back in 2001,and he has been at the heart of all that is good in Castlecomer Golf Club over many years. He has represented our club on numerous occasions and has contributed to many successful teams. Johnny is still playing golf of a very high standard and before his party he posted an excellent score of 31 pts over 14 holes! At the party, our most senior playing member John Shore welcomed Johnny into the ‘Nineties Club’. Johnny is also a long time member of The Castlecomer Male Voice Choir, and following some delicious party food provided by our chef Ludazk, Johnny and fellow club members provided excellent musical entertainment until late into the evening. All club members wish Johnny many more years enjoying his golf in Castlecomer GC.
