Lady Captain Aileen Coughlans Prize to Ladies took place over two days last week. On Tuesday 14 the first day of 18 hole stroke play was played in glorious sunshine with over 60 ladies competing for the most coveted prize in golf.Great scores were achieved Cara Doyle took the lead with a great 66 nett.Sarah Ryan closely behind with 69 nett and Noreen Curry with 70 nett setting up a great contest for Day 2.which as anticipated produced great golf scores for the ladies who ultimately featured.Congratulations to Noreen Curry who won Lady Captains Prize.Noreen our last year’s Lady Captain is having a great golf season and is a very active and popular club member.
A big part of Lady Captains Day is the time honoured morning tea for players and past lady Captains which Lady Captain Aileen hosted with great style.The presentation of prizes took place at 7pm and was a very sociable evening with invited guests and golfers all enjoying the event.
